Ben Valentin
Former competitive powerlifter (USAPL, 198 class). Ten years coaching across three commercial gyms before he opened Iron Hollow in 2018 because he wanted to actually program for the people he was training.
Six small group sessions a day in Kingston, programmed by Coach Ben Valentin. Three classes a week, 12-week training blocks. For lifters at any level — from your first deadlift to a 500lb pull. $189/month, and we know your name.
Every member at Iron Hollow trains the same block. We build for six weeks, peak for four, and test for two. You arrive on Day 01 and you know exactly what's on the program for Day 84.
Volume up, intensity moderate. Six weeks of accumulating work — sets in the 4–5 range, percentages in the 70s. The base under everything that comes next.
Volume drops, intensity climbs. Heavy triples and doubles in the 85–92% range. This is where the weights you've been waiting for show up on the bar.
New 1-rep maxes on the squat, bench, and deadlift. Coach calls every attempt with you. The number that goes in the log is the number you actually hit — not the number you wish you'd hit.
Every coach on this floor has competed. We don't hire fitness influencers. We hire people who know what it feels like to fail a heavy single and come back the next session ready to try again.

Maya runs the Tuesday and Thursday morning blocks and writes the bulk of our intermediate programming. Background in physical therapy. She'll catch a busted bar path before it becomes a busted back.
Dom programs and runs Saturday conditioning. Former collegiate wrestler. He's the reason a "24-minute conditioning piece" at Iron Hollow doesn't mean a 7-minute warm-up and 17 minutes of stretching.
Iron Hollow runs the same schedule, week in and week out. Reserve a spot through the app, or just show up — we cap groups at eight, and we'll tell you straight if a session is full.
Every PR at Iron Hollow gets witnessed by a coach. These are real lifters in our current block. Block numbers, joining dates, and best lifts are pulled from their logs.

I'd been lifting on my own for two years before I joined Iron Hollow. I thought I was strong. Block 030 they put me on a real program and I added 80 pounds to my back squat in a year. I'm not stopping.

Walked in on Day 01 of Block 038 having never deadlifted. Coach Maya taught me the setup. Five blocks later I pulled 265.

I've done five powerlifting meets out of Iron Hollow. Ben writes my prep. Total at last meet was 1,200 lb. He doesn't promise that — he programs for it.
Iron Hollow has a single membership. Three coached sessions a week, every class on the schedule, full programming, full coach access. That's the offer.
I spent ten years coaching strength inside commercial gyms. I got tired of compromising.
Coaching at the chains meant 30-minute sessions, no programming continuity, and a sales floor that didn't care if anyone got stronger. I wanted to run a gym where the program actually meant something. Where if you walked in on Day 01 of a block, you'd know what you were squatting on Day 84.
Iron Hollow is six small group sessions a day, three coaches who've all competed, twelve-week programming blocks that build, peak, and test. We cap groups at eight. We know your name. We don't have mirrors at every angle. This is a place to get strong, not a place to be looked at.
If you've never lifted before, that's where most of our 142 active lifters started. If you have, you'll get programming that actually progresses. Either way, the offer is the same: come do a free intro session and find out if this is for you.
These are the questions every prospective member asks at their intro session. If yours isn't here, call us at (845) 331-1847 and ask Coach Ben directly.
Yes — and most of our 142 active lifters started exactly there. Strength I sessions are designed for first-time lifters. Coach Ben or Coach Maya will spend your first session teaching you the squat, bench, and deadlift setup from scratch. You won't be on the bar with anyone watching you fail.
The free intro session is built for this exact scenario. No card on file, no sales pitch — just a coached session so you can decide if Iron Hollow is for you.
Travel, illness, work — life happens. If you miss a week or two, you pick up the program where the rest of the block is. You don't need to "make up" the missed sessions. The block is built so any one missed week won't break the cycle.
If you miss more than three weeks of a 12-week block, Coach Ben will adjust your individual percentages for the next test week so you peak honestly.
No. Membership is month-to-month, cancel anytime, no contract. We recommend giving any one block a full run because the block is the program — but if Iron Hollow isn't right for you, you can stop on any monthly billing date.
If you join mid-block (which is fine), Coach Ben will scale you into the program at the right phase so you're not jumping into Peak week 09 cold.
Workout clothes you can move in, a water bottle, and flat-soled shoes (Converse, Vans, or actual lifting shoes — not running shoes). That's it.
We provide all equipment: barbells, plates, racks, belts (loaner belts available in S–XL), wrist wraps, chalk. If you forget any of the above, we have spares.
Coach Maya has a background in physical therapy and writes individual modifications when needed. Tell us about the injury at your intro session. We've worked with members coming back from herniated discs, knee surgeries, shoulder rehab, and more — programming gets adjusted around what you can do safely, not around what's easy.
If something is genuinely outside our scope, we'll tell you and refer you to a PT we trust. We're not going to coach you into a re-injury.
A regular gym sells you access to equipment. Iron Hollow sells you a coached program. The difference matters because most people who sign up at a regular gym stop showing up within 90 days — usually because nobody told them what to do or watched their form.
At Iron Hollow, you walk in, the program for the day is on the board, a coach is on the floor, and you train with the same six to eight people. We know your name, we know your last lift, and we know what you're working toward.
Email ben@ironhollowtraining.co or tell any coach in person. Cancellation is effective on your next monthly billing date. No exit fee, no "win-back" calls, no exit interview. We'd rather you go train somewhere that works for you than stay paying for something that doesn't.
Free intro session — no card on file, no sales pitch, just a session. Walk in, lift, ask questions. Decide after.
